Not sure what to say?

Happy Fathers Day dad. Wish you were here to celebrate it with us. Miss you so much.
Love Terri

The family of Phyllis Schaer joins you in mourning the passing of Barton Mann, our first cousin. I am a daughter of Sylvia Mann Fox, who was Harry Mann's sister. I tried unsuccessfully to see Barton in Chicago several years ago, while my son Harris attended the University of Chicago. I was able to at least connect by phone for a brief time. As our childhood was mostly spent growing up in Florida we were not often present at family events over the years. But I do remember having a crush on my...

I am the daughter of Sylvia Mann, Uncle Harry's sister. My mother always spoke so highly and proudly of Barton, and I am sorry for your loss. I am sorry too, that we are spread all over the place, and unable to be the family we would all love to be. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am sorry to have learned of Dr. Mann's death. I only met him once through Helene Mann, my friend and his daughter. My sympathy is with Helene and her sisters Terri, Marci and Iris. I am sorry that you were not able to be with him in his later years.

I did not know Dr. Mann, personally. However, he is compassion and loving care were very instrumental for my dearest friend in the 1960's. Because of his compassionate practice of medicine, the learning of his illness and death saddens me, too.

My condolences to his family and friends. I wanted them to know the precious treasure of Dr. Mann's loving care and that it has even extended beyond his own patients. This is a treasured legacy and fond tribute to a wonderful man. Thank you...

Dr. Mann delivered my daughter in 1975 and was the kindest, most gentle and caring man. I am glad that by signing this book I can, in some small way, honor his life.

Dr Mann was one of my Doctors when I lived in Schiller Park, with Drs. Bauer, McDermott and Mann.
He was so kind, and helped me get my life together when I had my last baby, which they delivered at Grant Hospital in 1964. I wanted to go into the medical field, but had some issues, and he said that if I didn't get it together, I wouldn't be allowed to mop floors in a hospital!
I can still see his face, and hear him saying those words to me, and they were the catalyst which helped me...

Dad, I am so sad you were not in our lives all these years. Your life and ours would have been richer if we had shared more time together. Mom is living with us here in Arizona and we keep in touch with your sisters family in NY and NJ. It is so good to still have these connections. This experience makes me realize just how short and precious life and family are.

If anyone has any knowledge of Dad's life, especially in the last few years, please share your messages in this guestbook...
