Not sure what to say?

Bart was a Fine Player and a great Supporter of Jazz Guitar. I always enjoyed playing the gigs I got to do with him as well as talking with him about the instrument. It was an Honor to be interviewed by him for Just Jazz Guitar magazine years ago. A Real Gentleman!

I JUST HEARD ABOUT BART'S PASSING. HE WAS A FINE JAZZ GUITARIST AND A GREAT SUPPORTER OF THE ART.I ENJOYED THE FEW TIMES WE GOT TO PLAY TOGETHER.MY CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY.

A dear friend and colleague, memories of Bart will always be with us. Professionally, the best part of my day was the time we spent together. He and I always had great fun working together. My favorite memories at work were our Legal / IT "road shows" where he and I visited other organizations and talked about the importance of legal and technology policy. I credit my professional approach in tech to all the things Bart taught me over the twenty years we worked together. As a dear friend,...

One of my favorite memories of Bart was one evening when the weather was great, he had a gig playing in the public space in front of what was then Barnes & Noble in Bethesda. My wife Sara and I happened by and sat down to enjoy Bart's music. Then we invited him to join us for dinner. We had so much fun. The bill came and Bart grabbed for it. I said no, no, it's our treat! Bart wouldn't have it. He said got paid too much for his gig and he had great fun doing it then going to dinner. So...

Bart always had time, guidance, support and a smile for everyone in his life - especially for me as a young NAB employee. Working through difficult legal issues with Bart inspired me to go to law school. I will never forget his grace and calm under pressure. I learned so much from him and hope to carry his spirit, genuine enjoyment of figuring out problems, and desire to help others with me in my practice of law. My heart breaks for his family and friends during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Barton Stringham. May you be comforted in knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for you. He will give you strength and courage to cope with your grief. Psalm 94:17-19

Aside from all your many lovely qualities like kindness, generosity, wit, intelligence, thoughtfulness, etc., I will perhaps remember you most for being the consummate gentleman, a quality that's increasingly hard to find. Linda, I can't imagine the loss you must feel along with those in his family. My heart goes out to you. I will miss you Bart but will take solace in all the wonderful memories I have of you. I will treasure our friendship forever.

We have great memories of Bart - his kindness and quick wit. Sending love to the entire family. We are so sorry for your loss.
