Barry was always teaching his sons and always in a great mood. We share a Rice University connection. Rest in peace, Barry.

Jon, Chris and Guinn,
These past four years have been a lifetime for each of you. In my memory, Dad is still a young man in the 1990s, trying his best to solve every problem by bedtime. You choose a good guy as a Dad, Jon and Chris. Michael and Kelly's mom, Kathleen

Jon, Chris and Guinn,
Here it is, years since we've seen each other. Affection, like the feelings Bary has for you, is never forgotten by those who have seen it. These past years have been a lifetime for each of you. In my memory, guys, your Dad is still a young man. You are both kids and it's the late 1990s. Dad is stretched, trying his best at work, at church and at home to solve all the problems before bedtime. Later, he's coaching for Olympics of the Mind competition. In memory,...

Dear Guinn,
I just heard about Bary's passing on to heaven. God bless you and the boys. Although I haven't seen you guys in years, Bary's spirit has always been with me and I am certain always will. He set the bar for me for how to live as a man of Christ.
All my love,
John

Guinn and Family,
We just found out about Bary's passing. I knew Bary from years back when we worked together for a time. Although we have only been in contact sporadically since then, I know we will miss him tremendously.

Dear Guinn and boys,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Bary's passing. Like my dad said, memories of Sunday school, youth group and mission trips all came back to me. Bary always had a smile and shared his joy with everyone he came in contact with. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Guinn, I was very saddened to hear of Bary's passing. I just now heard the news. So many good memories began running through my mind. The first was when on my first mission trip with Bary, I heard a few of the kids talking about how he talked to each of them at some time during the trip. This is but one way he set the example for us to follow. One example of his sense of humor was shown when he told Marge I was hard of hearing before we left on a later trip. I was about deaf before we...

Dear Guinn, Chris and Jonathan-I was deeply saddened to just learn about Bary. Although we had moved away, we have always kept your family in our heart and Bary was one of the most outstanding men I have ever met. Brilliant, loving, caring and giving and so much fun. He was always so kind and loving to Matthew and your family helped us with your kindness, love and faith. Bary was a light in the world and his essence will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. The faith of your family...
