Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege of supervising Bascom for a couple years and, although we didn´t always agree on issues at hand, Bascom always carried himself with distinction. Rest in peace, Bascom.

I miss you a lot. Your friendship was something that I counted on. I know that you are still leading with style and grace

I think of Bascom often as the years pass. He was educated, professional and thorough and too good for the job they gave him. I considered him a friend; I hope he had the same feeling for me. I admired Bascom and will remember him.

Such sad news. Bascom and I were cadets together at Prairie View where we both attended Airborne school and received commissions into US Army. Bascom was a fine officer and much better friend. God speed Bascom Durham and know you will always be a special friend who leaves behind many fond memories

Forever friend

I am so sad to learn of Bascom's passing - and worse at such a late date. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and family. He was a great co-worker at DOT and I enjoyed his kind heart & Army spirit each time I saw him. My dad will greet this man with equal spirit. Rest in peace Bascom. I thank you for your service.

No more "Sony Gail!" You will be missed highly Uncle Sonny. Your spirit was the best and a memory that will never be forgotten. R. I. P.

R. I. P. Uncle Sonny! You will be missed very much. I won't physically hear "Sony Gail" anymore, but it will always be many memories of you in my heart. Your niece, Lasonya Gail & Rodney Russell.

My Condolence & Prayers goes out to Virginia Durham & your family. Bascom I Salute You, for your years you service in military , you we be missed. Rest on.

My brother Bascom was a Military Officer "Extraordinaire ". Could always be counted on to give a "Salute". He was my helper three years ago when our youngest brother was ill & needed Medical Intervention. Bascom saw to Ronnie getting to and from his appointments. I'm sure Ronnie would voice the same sentiment if he could. Rest in Peace My Brother.
