Beatrice Ann Brigida

Beatrice Ann "Babs" (Gammons) Brigida, age 91, died peacefully at the Life Care Center of Plymouth on January 9th, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late Gaetano J. "Guy" Brigida. Born in Middleboro, MA on June 13, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah (Robischeau) Gammons. She was educated in Middleboro and moved to Plymouth in 1945. Babs enjoyed knitting and working with ceramic. She loved cooking for her family and friends, especially pasta and tortellini's. She was a member of the St. Peter's Women's League. She was the loving mother of Gaetano "Guy" Brigida, Jr and his wife Sandy, Judith Jenney and her husband Lewis all of Plymouth and JoAnn Botelho and her husband Richard of Brandon, FL. She was the beloved sister of Joan Merritt of Middleboro and the late Eugene Gammons of Middleboro. Also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth. The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 9:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter's Church at 10:00 a. m. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plymouth.
