I share your loss. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of our years together at Alabama A&M University. Mrs. Covington was a sweet and charming person who brought such elegance to the position of "First Lady" at AAMU. Her love for the AAMU family was evidenced in all her actions. Jean and I have fond memories of Mrs. Covington. She was a wonderful role model for her family, students, and friends. We loved seeing her work in so many areas of the Alabama A & M community as well as the Huntsville community. May God and His peace be very near.

Dr. Covington and Family: I share in your grief and sorrow. Mrs. Covington was the quintessential lady. I loved her spirit and can do attitude. She changed the spirit of A&M. We all joined in making the University a place of beauty. Mrs. Covington cared therefore we cared. She brought class to the University and to Huntsville. She was one to emulate.
