Not sure what to say?

At this very late date, I'd like to add my condolences on the loss of a great lady. Betty and I worked together some 65 years ago for her uncle, Charles Pedlar, and became good friends. We seldom saw each other through these many long years, but always stayed in touch. Betty and Hank always added a hand-written note to their Christmas cards and we spoke from time to time on the phone--often when the children were young. We kept each other up to date on our families--addition, whereabouts...

Betty was SUCH a vital presence in Beaux Arts, from the time I was a little girl! And when we moved back to the village with our children, I loved seeing her at the beach, and having her signing me in at the polling booth. She always inquired after my mother, and she was a TRUE "Renaissance Woman" - full of talent and skills and a presence to all of us - she will be missed....

Betty was a grand woman, and I admired her tremendously. She modeled what it meant to be a smart, independent, and engaged woman, from her involvement in Women Voters to composting to local politics. Remembering her with fondness and wishing her family the consolations of a life well lived.

We are sad to hear about Bettys passing. She was such a smart and passionate woman. She has been a good friend to Don and Dottie for years. Both Don and Dottie want you to know how much their lives were better for having known her. Love to you all. Don Dottie and Kristi

Remembering Hank and Betty fondly.

We so enjoyed being Betty's neighbors in Beaux Arts Village. She was very involved it town affairs when my husband was mayor, and she was a great and fun-loving encouragement to him. I liked the way Betty walked, and I would have loved to have known her as a young woman! We received a lovely note from her around Christmas time this year and she told us about the wonderful things each of her grand children were doing. We will miss Betty.
