Swampscott residentSWAMPSCOTT - Silverman, Beatrice (Nathanson), of Swampscott, formerly of Revere, entered into rest Sept. 22, 2011 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of 52 years to George Silverman.Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Revere and a graduate of Revere High School. Mrs. Silverman enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.Devoted mother of Nanci Small and her husband Michael Halperin of Sharon, Randi Levenson and her husband Edward of Swampscott and Amy Sorkin and her husband Jeffrey of Marblehead. Loving sister of Fred Nathanson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Cherished grandmother Zachary, Jacob, Jamie, Allison, Amanda and Jeremy.Service information: Services will be held at STANETSKY-HYMANSON Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment at Old Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery, Fuller Street, Everett. Memorial observance following the interment on Sunday and on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the home of Amy and Jeffrey Sorkin. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory to Brigham and Women's Hospital, 116 Huntington Ave., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02116. On memo line, please write for ICU or to the Mass General Hospital Development Office, Attn: Shawn Fitzgibbons, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114 for Dr. Steven Greenberg's Neurology Research.
