Not sure what to say?

Dear Valerie,
I just read your mother's obituary (I have been out of town), and I want to tell you I am sorry for your loss. I have many good memories of your entire family, including Toby! I always enjoyed chatting with your Mom when I went to the library. I think of you often and of all the the times we spent growing up on Radcliffe.

I respected her work and valued the short chats we had during those visits. Please know that Jim and I send our sincere condolences to Bea's family.
