Becky Lynn Rexrode, 83, of Spencer, died Saturday, November 12, 2022, at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.
She was born October 17, 1939, in Charleston, a daughter of the late Loran Waldorf and Ruth Jane Daniel Linville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley B. Rexrode.
Becky was a 1957 graduate of Charleston High School. She was a retired legal secretary, working for several firms in Spencer and the Roane County Courthouse, for a period of more than 30 years.
Becky was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Spencer and loved singing in the choir, especially the Christmas cantatas. She was a very active and eager supporter and contributor to many charities including the Humane Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Save the Children. She was also a mother to countless dogs of many types.
Survivors include, her son, Tim Rexrode (CAPT, USN Retired) and daughter-in-law, Makoto Rexrode; grandchildren, Sam, Maya and Liz; brother, Alfred Daniel Linville of Morgantown; Sadie, her West Highland terrier.
Per her wishes, Becky was cremated, and she will be placed at Eventide Cemetery. There will be no service or visitation.
