OBITUARY: BEDE DE ZILWA ( 1926- 2013 ) “Tribute to a Peterite Icon”
It was indeed a moment of great sadness when I learnt of the passing of a true Peterite Icon—Bede De Zilwa on Tuesday 28 May 2013. I have known the De Zilwa Family for many decades and more specifically, as we lived in the same suburb of Dehiwela, Colombo, (Ceylon) Sri Lanka until emigration to Australia in 1967.
It was the era of British Colonial rule in Ceylon and the need for a good education...
