Beldon "Bud" Cleere
07/14/1940 - 09/10/2023
Beldon "Bud" Cleere of Midland,Texas, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023.
Bud was born in Frost, TX in 1940 to Guy and Marie Cleere, grew up in Lamesa, joined the Army in 1957 and was stationed in Korea. In 1967, he married Dottie McLeod and moved to Alaska where they started their family. Moving back to Texas in 1980, Bud started Bud's Plumbing, which became a successful business. Dottie passed away in 1983 and after several years as a single parent he met Bobleta Myers and they were married in 1989. Bud retired in 1996 and he and Bobleta created many happy memories traveling in their RV.
Bud was often surrounded by his family who all loved him dearly. He never missed watching the Dallas Cowboys play, being a HUGE fan of the team. On game day you would find him decked from head to toe in his Dallas Cowboys attire. Bud was outgoing and sociable, every child's playmate, the life of the party, and always had family and friends laughing with him.
Bud was preceded in death by his brother, 2 sisters, mother and father, Dottie Cleere, his son Eric Cleere, and daughter, Tracy Sturdivant. He is survived by his wife, Bobleta Cleere; his children Shawna Bridgforth (Brian Bridgforth), Tonya Piehl (Patrick Piehl), and Shane Myers (Donna Myers); his grandchildren Autumn Rush, Garett Kessler (Julianna Kessler), Brianna and Braxton Bridgforth, and Ethan and Seth Myers; his sister Gloria Treadwell and 8 nephews and nieces .
Services will be held at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home on September 16 at 10:00 AM. The family will be wearing Dallas Cowboys attire to honor Bud and invite others to wear their favorite Cowboys apparel as well. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Midland.
Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Family messages and condolences may be emailed to: [email protected] or you can visit our website at lewallengarciapipkinfh.com.

Not sure what to say?

It is a privilege to share this time as we remember and honor the life of your loved one. During this time of grief, we wish you comfort and peace.

Bobleta, I'm so sorry to hear about Bud. We used to talk about our families so much so long ago. Bud even did some plumbing for us when we lived on Storey.

Bud was a very special man and I know that he will be greatly missed. Wishing the family comfort as you remember his life- including the RV adventures and Cowboys games.
