Belva Cottier-Satterfield, 79, of Livermore, California, a 53-year resident of Alameda County, who dedicated her life to raising awareness of and combating the plight of American Indians throughout the United States, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 8, 2000, 5-9 p.m., at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First Street, Pleasanton, California. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 11 a.m., at Parks Chapel AME Church, 476 34th Street, Oakland, California. Burial will be on Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California.
