As a child I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Ben Carpenter. My father & family worked on the Carpenter Ranch. I will always remember the Carpenter family. I also will never forget that John 111, as a child said he was going to marry me when he got older. The reason for that was, he liked flour tortillas. I'm still waiting, John!

As the son of Dr. R. G. "Pat" Carpenter, I grew up in Dallas and knew of Ben and John. My Uncles Percy and R. B. Carpenter (Carpenter Construction, Inc.; Mayor Pro-Tem, Dallas in early 1950's) spoke highly of him and I regret I never had the opportunity to meet him. Perhaps somewher in the Carpenter lineage we are related.
