Not sure what to say?

Ben Cline and his car.

Ben and I are the same age and grew up in the same neighborhood. We played together, went to the same church, and school. In a strange twist of fait we both married a Phyllis. Time has dimed my memory but his outstanding traits were his gentle disposition, honesty, integrity, etc. I can honestly say that I never heard him say negative thoughts about anyone. Growing up we were normal kids had our challenges but never were troubled with the law or moral issues. However, we never were concerned...

I would have to say that Ben was the best mentor that I had in the cabinet installation business. In the early years when I got in over my head Ben never turned me down when I was crying for help. I had more respect for this man because him and I worked in a sorry industry. He was one of very few that you new was an honest man. I will miss him.

Ben and I lived in the same neighborhood; I was the youngest of the bunch that ran around together. The Clines home was a place where all the guys would hang out. At a young age we would swim in the canal in the back, target practice on things floating down the canal. Hunting frogs long the banks of the canal and Red Rafters. Football games over in the Whitney's back yard, Basketball over at my house. Sunday was cruising time after church in the ‘50 yellow convertible. I could go on and...

All of us at Hicks-Ashby have many fond memories of working with Ben over the years. He was the benchmark for work ethic and quality. One of my fondest memories of Ben was outside of work. My wife and I while traveling to Italy, ran into Ben and Phyllis in Milan. What an amazing coincidence to see familiar faces. We laughed that we both traveled thousands of miles from home only to run into each other in this distant foreign country. The Clines were on the same plane because they were...

My name is Jerry Cline, Ben was a cousin; my father was Ben's uncle Wilbert AKA "Wib", Ben's father's (Lavere) brother. I was born Feb 1939 a few months before Ben.

I had a few very favorite uncles and Lavere was one. His smile was omnipresent, infectious and a signature pf his warmth and compassion.

Lavere helped build the home in which I was born on a cold winter night (the previous 'Cline' home burned to the ground in 1938). He also built a home for my sister Eris, about...

Dear Phyllis, Just a quick note from Kent and Jan Giauque to tell you how deeply sorry we are to hear of the passing of sweet Ben. We still have many many fond memories of water skiing in your boat, playing nerts, picnics and even driving to Salt Lake with Phyllis and kidlets in the back of our LTD. We always had great respect and love for Ben. His unselfishness and kindness was a Christlike example we have never forgotten. We hope your fond memories as a family will give you comfort and...

Ben and I grew up two houses apart, however, I was older than him (15) days which means we went through all the school classes, church, and National Gurard together. He was a great friend and some of the greatest memories I have of my youth were the time we went cruising around in his Chevrolet convertable. He was always a great friend with a wonderful personality and will be greatly missed by all of us who grew up with him and cherish the memories we have of a wonderful youth.

Ben was a wonderful father and a greatneighbor. I children grew up on the plane street in Overland Park. I will always remember him that way. My sincere condolences to the whole family. Phyllis my heart goes out to you. Remember that he will always be in your heart.

Mr. Cline was very kind to my family. My deepest condolences for all the Cline family.
