I will always remember you Ben as you are on my mind from the minute I wake up until I fall asleep. You were taken way too soon from us, and for that I mourn deeply every day. Be free my brother my love - and I hope you are kayaking!

MaryAnn, Laura, Ben's children- most of you don't know me. I am MaryAnn's first cousin in Southern Illinois. The "Benji" I knew was the young boy who came with his mom, stepfather, and brother (Raymona wasn't born yet) to visit my mom, my two sisters and me every summer. We always enjoyed the visits of our Chicago cousins! Honestly, I don't remember the last time I saw Ben. Joe, his wife, and MaryAnn came to visit us a few years ago. I still live on the home place where Ben came to visit as a child. While Joe was here he took pictures of my home to take back to show Ben. We talked about Ben coming for a visit as Joe knew his brother would enjoy spending time in Southern Illinois. I was so hoping Ben would be able to come some time for our Gajewski reunion and reconnect with his So. Illinois cousins. I watched Ben's video and can see he adored his grandchildren and family. You have my deepest sympathy. Donna Nehrkorn Vancil (Scheller, IL)
