Sad to know it two days ago! When I moved to the US 9 years ago and I was lucky to live with this wise man for more than four years! He always drove us to visit some historic sites in the nearby towns, he took us to different lectures at Harvard!
He always told us stories about his parents, his brother and sisters. He missed them all the time, and he regretted he did not visit his mother's hometown in Germany. And he always mentioned his loved wife and daughter. How much he loved them and...

During this time of sadness may the words recorded at Isaiah 28:5 comfort your hearts.

I am pleased to have known such a remarkable man. To this day I still recall some of his witty remarks and I strive to maintain an intellectual curiosity like his.
