Not sure what to say?

She taught me at Norfolk State University (a english class).Every now and then she would hand out cards with saying's on them. The one I remember the most was a card that said "You can't please every one but please yourself and at least you are pleased". Makes sense to me! Rest in peace Sister.

I will always remember Sr. Benedicta as one of the most creative, joyful, and intelligent people I have ever known.

Sister Benedicta was a fantastic speech teacher at Mater Dei. She knew of my interest in speech therapy & found out about a summer workshop for promising speech therapists & encouraged me to send in my application. The rest is history. I became a speech therapist & am grateful for all her encouragement. My sympathy to her family & friends.

I've told numerous people on numerous occasions that I owe most of my career successes in life to Sister Benedicta and her skills and guidance as a speech teacher at Mater Dei 60 years ago. God rest her soul.

Sister Benedicta was a brilliant teacher and a lovely person. When I started dating my husband in high school while attending Mater Dei she spoke to me about him because she knew his family. He was a student at Memorial. She told me to" stick with him that he was a good boy". She was right. We will be married 50 years next year. We have 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
With love and respect,
