March 31, 1929 -

Our mom, Benita Helseth, was born on Easter Sunday, March 31,1929, in Ulysses, Kansas, to Ben and Grace Lyle. She took her last breath on earth on November 23, 2022, surrounded by the loving staff of Gardenview AFH in Shoreline, WA. Her family, including her 3 younger...

Not sure what to say?

Benita was more than a neighbor she was my friend. We walked our dogs together or sat in her back yard and had interesting conversations. She was a great listener and remembered everything I told her no matter how much time passed; a great memory especially for her age! Grady. Just want to express my condolences on your mom's passing. A force of nature and a dedicated keeper of the flame your mother exerted her influence with wit and her truth. God Bless your family during this time. Dave Hulbert

I appreciated Benita´s topical and articulate letters to The Everett Herald. Her concern for her community was as clear as her love and support for her family. Her strength was evident and inspiring.

Benita was a smart, friendly, fun lady and indeed, a lifelong learner. She will be missed. Hugs to you all.

As a neighbor kid, I remember Benita as the matriarch of the big farmhouse across the road from my place. She was always busy: doing laundry, weeding the gardens, or making sandwiches for whoever was there for lunch. I recall being jealous of her kids because of her catsup sandwiches and that cavernous three story house with all kinds of nooks and crannies! Rest In Peace!

Love, Sympathy and Many Prayers to all of you...we loved Benita and all she did for our great world. Love, Laurel Lundgren Parratt...Marysville, WA
