I remember Benny from grad school at UBC. His exploits in the mountains of BC collecting mosses were legendary. I later met him in Singapore where we went to a movie together. He was a sweet man.

Benny is a friend and a classmate in my undergrad year at UP Diliman. He is very jolly and got a treat of acupuncture from him. O Lord, in your mercy welcome him into your heavenly kingdom. In your encompassing love, Lord, bring him into the light of your Divine Presence. May he rest in peace.

He was a good friend and mentor. In the 90s when I was interviewing for postdoctoral positions in the Boston area, he was so gracious to let me stay in his place for a couple of days. He will be missed. He will be in my prayers. --Larry
