He enjoyed cartooning, guitar strumming, song writing, and was an excellent cook. He enjoyed his computer and posting on Facebook and had many “friends” across the country. Ben was well known in his neighborhood for his willingness to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. Ben was a member of the Castle Hills Baptist Church. God was his Father, Jesus was his Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit was his Comforter.

Thinking of your family during this hard time. I hope you can all find peace. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Valerie and family,

I am so sorry that I could not be there for Ben's memorial service, but you have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since I heard about his death. I will continue to pray for strength, comfort, and peace for all of you.

Still in shock Ben, thank you for the laughs, for the reminders that there are bigger and better things beyond this world, and just for being Ben Bailey, a true original. Rest easy pal, you earned it.....

God looked around his garden
And he found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And He lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
He knew that you would never get
Well on earth again.
He saw the road getting rough and
The hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids and
Whispered "Peace is thine."
...

We had a lot of laughs and good times, my friend. Go rest high on that mountain . . .
