I am so sad to read about the passing of Ben. So many memories of him and Judy. Life goes by in a twinkling of an eye. I know he is in heaven. He lived his life to the fullest and sad I never got to see him later in life. May his family be conforted by Gods love. Peggy Lytle, 805-443-5464. I would love to hear from Judy

An Ojai without Benjamin Barraza is not 'Ojai' anymore... Ben, Eric, I've not seen you for a long, long time, but I grieve with you in the loss of your papa. All my Love to you and your family. I'm sure my dad and Ben are having quite a conversation right about now... Be well; be comforted.

I also was sad to hear about Ben's passing.
He was a great influence on us, back in the day when we were struggling to see the big picture of the Vietnam War. He was both rational and kind, and I'll never forget him.

I knew Ben in the 60s, when he was dubbed "King of the Hippies" by the VC Star Free Press. He was someone I could really talk to about different things (like Chumo, but in a different way), he was a good listener, rational, with a very interesting take on things. I think he influenced, in a good way, many more people and events than we imagine.

Sorry to hear of Ben's passing. Although we walked on opposite sides of the street, I would have liked to have sat down and talked to him about the old days. May he rest in peace.
