Not sure what to say?

LTJG Cloud was my Division Officer when I served at the Naval Photographic Center, NAS Anacostia 1959. .He was always focused on the "job". But also a pleasure to work for and with. My sympathy to his family for their loss

I was the Strike Ops Officer on the Kitty Hawk while CDR Cloud was the Ships XO. He frequently used the Strike Ops space for meetings with ship´s senior officers. He was always helpful and supportive. At age 90 frequently reminess about the great senior officer with whom I had served. Ben Cloud tops the list.

My deepest sympathy to the Cloud family. I served aboard USS Kitty Hawk with him. He was XO and I was an Ens/ Long. I was on forecastle with him when he stopped the race riot. An eye witness to true bravery!

Ben was such a wonderful person. We always enjoyed when he and Diane would stop by our shop, Renzulli's Jewelry World and chat. He will be missed. Sending love to the family. Al, Kellie & Alexia

We were saddened to hear of Ben's passing and offer our sympathies to you. We know that he was a vital, loving and caring member of your family and will be greatly missed.

Sympathy and condolences to the family. I have know him all of my life and lost contact over the years. Very sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless

Fair winds and following seas to a fellow Naval Aviator. God Bless.

Ben was my commanding officer in VFP-63 in 1970-71, and I was way too immature at the time to realize his leadership qualities. His obit failed to mention that as a "man of color", he was a ground breaker in the Navy, helping to break age old barriers to men of color to leadership positions. His obit also mentions that many people have remarked that they are better people from knowing him, and I count myself one of those. Ben was a class act.

Miss Ben already but have so many great memories. Our sympathies to you and the family.
