A great man has left this world. It was an honor to know him since our days in Congo, when Virginia was the science teacher at The American High School of Kinshasa, and Ben was working at the Embassy. My parents valued their friendship. They have been gracious to me and my family during all these years, whether it be at home in Kinshasa, in Virginia, or on Long Island in Maine. Our sincere condolences to Virginia and the family at this time.
