Ben was my teacher, colleague, mentor and friend. He was a little, short, man with a big heart and soul. He was smart, funny and dedicated to his profession. When I was in graduate school he taught us inflammation and the four of us graduatestudents argued with him constantly, but he was always patient and helpful (and right).
