Not sure what to say?

To All:
Today marks four weeks since the passing of our father, Benjamin. I have read each and every entry in this guest book and wanted to take this time to thank each of you for your kind words, stories, and fond memories of this truly blessed man. I would also like to express great gratitude to his sister's and brother's who gave so much of themselve's and who were there to comfort him from his stays at St. Mary's through his last moments at Cartwright House. Uncle Manuel, Aunt...

Ben,
I really don't even know where to begin. You will be incredibly missed by so many that loved you and many lives you touched including mine and your grandaughters Amber and Mercedes. I could have never asked for better in-laws than you and theresa. You were the greatest, most people don't so lucky but I did. You both were very important people in my life and Amber and Mercedes' life. You both were the most wonderful grandparents too! How very lucky I was to have had that. Words can...

Uncle Ben, you were not only my uncle but you were my friend. I will always cherish our long conversations, your advice and words of encouragement. When I told you I was a chaplain for Hospice, you replied, "You are doing God's work, keep up the good work." You would always make me laugh. My husband and I visited you in the hospital about 3-4 weeks ago and I probably spent longer than I should have but somehow I knew it would be my last visit with you. We shared and talked about so many...

Grandpa,

Words can't decribe how much you meant to so many people. You were such an amazing man and I know that you touched many people's lives. I am so sorry for not being able to see you as much as I wanted to. It will always make me sad, but it will make the times I did spend with you that much more special and I will always remember them. Although it was very hard to see you at the hospital and Cartwright, I am glad that I got to say goodbye to you before you left us....

To my cousins and my aunts and uncles, I celebrate my Uncle Ben's life as well as my Aunt Terry's. All of you are testements to their legacy and I am so proud to be a part of that legacy in my own small way. God Bless all of you through this time...I can not imagine. Mary, (chu chu)

Dad,

We laid you to rest yesterday in a funeral ceremony befitting such a great man. Father Dan, so gifted with words, conducted a beautiful mass. The Honor Guard tribute was something I know would make you very proud. And your friends at St. Joe's presented an incredible meal. It was so very evident how many lives you touched.

I won't even try to explain how you touched mine. You and I both knew. I am extremely grateful to our Lord for not taking you that first night...

Grandpa,

You were a very amazing grandfather and person. Although,I didn't get to see you as much as I would have liked, you still were an insperation to me. These past couple months visiting you in the hospital and at the cartwright center, it was very tough to see you so weak, unable to be yourself. I didn't like you seeing you like that. But those past couple days I wouldn't take back for anything. You looked me straight in the eyes, grabbed my hand and said your a beautiful...

Laura I was a grade behind you at Sacred Heart, nickname Mandy. My parents Victor and Adelina Cortez were friends and your aunt Alice's compadres. Now our parents are in Heaven celebrating together!! I pray the good Lord gives you strength needed at this time. We are so blessed to have had loving parents that were so close to the Good Lord!! God Bless You and Your Family.
