Uncle Ben served in WWII as a member of 5093 Joint Signal Company as a basic signal message sender clerk arriving on Oct. 20, 1944 for the Liberation of Leyte Island, Philippines. Sept. 11, 2019, Ben had a commemorative brick placed on The Veterans Walk of Honor at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, TX.
