Not sure what to say?

Kristen, Kevin, David and families,

We add our sincere condolences to those who remember your dad's wonderful medical skills and caring. We only heard tell of that from others; however, as cousins we've known him as a wonderful caring human being. We remember his humor, his integrity, the twinkle in his eye. It was always good and fun to be in his presence. You, and especially your mother, are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Max and Erika

Dear Kristen and Family,

I was so sorry to read and learn of your father's passing.

He was my doctor as a child through my adult years, until his retirement. He also was my parents doctor. My Dad always said he was the "BEST", and never did find another doctor close to filling Dr. Longenecker's shoes. His dedication was something which is not found today.

May God give you all strength in peace knowing he is in a better place where there is no pain and...

Kristen, my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the death of your father. I remember him not as a doctor, but as your father when we were in grade school and hung out together with Alex and a few others. My thought and prayers are with you.

To Kevin and Karen and family - our deepest sympathy for your loss. Your stories about your Dad always made me laugh and touched my heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dr. Longenecker was our family physican my entire life until his retirement. His devotion to the medical profession has left a lasting impresion in many hearts.

I remember Dr. Longenecker as a warm and loving family man who always remained calm regardless of the activity around him. Remembering fondly the swimming/barbeques with our families and the sometimes "serious" bridge games between the the parents. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

I knew Dr. Longenecker for many years. He was our family doctor when I was a teen in Temple. His daughter, Kristen, was (is) one of my best friends. I'll never forget that wonderful family, the fun we had at the house and the professionalism of the doctor. He will always be a fond part of my youth and I just know he will be missed. There are very few, if any, doctors like him. Hugs, gratitude and love from Seattle,Wa. He will never be forgotten, in my heart forever.

Temple was fortunate to have such a dedicated doctor in our community. He was always on call 24 hours a day. One of the last of the doctors` to make house calls. He was the epitome of compassionate care in the field of medicine.
