Not sure what to say?

Corky and I shared something in common while attending Concordia We were the ONLY students from New Mexico during our tenure Such a great guy! My condolences to his family

As others have said Ben was a very nice, caring person. I taught with him at Benson for at least 20 years.....Mr Markin always had a smile and a happy demeanor , we shall miss you.

Ben was an excellent teacher, mentor, friend and dorm proctor. As a new instructor, he lived in Bohm Hall, Concordia Prep, Bronxville, NY with about 100 of us high school student. He was well respected and looked up to by all of us. It took a special person to guide us teenage boys trying to figure out the next steps in our lives. He was young, energetic and an good mentor. Our class was also fortunate that the Markins attended several of our Concordia Prep Class of 1961 reunions.

We have had many times visiting when we came to visit Dennis, Martha and the kids. Ben was always smiling and so kind. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. As you can tell I had a hard time keeping Denny out of this message. I think they were...

Blessings!

A wonderful human being and a great teacher in and out of the classroom.

I was Ben's student at Concordia Prep in Bronxville, NY. Ben was a fine Biology teacher and an even finer man. We loved him. He was one of our favorite teachers. He touched so many lives in loving ways. He was a true gift from God to all who knew him.
