Not sure what to say?

I knew Ben when I was a Freshman in 1963 at Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri. Ben was a Sophomore and very charming and talented. I have one of his paintings. Sincere condolences.

Ben was a good friend at SWBC/SBU. He and I suffered through Biology class his 1st summer in Bolivar. We played numerous games of chess, in which we were equally challenged. I live in Korea and tried unsuccessfully to locate him in Hong Kong a few years ago. Now, I see he lived stateside. Wonderful man with a good sense of humor. We laughed a lot as we played. May the family find comfort from the Lord in this time of need.

Sonia, whenever I was with Ben or around him at Southwest Baptist, he was energized and full of life, always in positive ways. Although we had lost touch through the years, I see now what gifts to the world he left....a remarkable life of faith and human achievement.

Sonya, We send our deepest sympathy over the the lost of your Ben......We both were his college classmates at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri and reconnected with Ben here in Bloomington, Illinois where he and Harold were working at State Farm Insurance in 1969. We also share good friends with Dr. Jerry Horner (our New Testament professor at Bolivar). A memory.....Ben once painted a lovely watercolor for Jo when she cooked and sent him chocolate chip cookies to him one...

Dear Sonia: as always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort and strength, keeping you close in heart and prayer for the loss of Ben . He is a wonderful husband, a warm est friend, a Very talented person, he will be in my heat forever.

I will miss "Uncle" Ben very much. Many fun childhood memories were made at your house.
