FRANKFORT — Benjamin "Harry" Harrison Morrison Jr., 84, of Honor, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care in Frankfort.

Harry was born Jan. 13, 1924, the son of Benjamin Harrison and Grace Marie (Marx) Morrison Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served his country honorably during World War II.

Harry attended the Ferris State University School of Pharmacy and went on to be employed as a licensed pharmacist at various drugstores. He retired from Seaway Hospital in Trenton.

On July 22, 1950, in Benzonia, Harry married Beverly Ann Johnson, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Benjamin Morrison III of Honor and David (Lisa) Morrison of Wheaton, IL; one daughter, Elizabeth (Jeff) Gullo of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Matthew, Stacey, Rachel, Jacob, Andrea and Madeline; one sister, June Mills of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Russell Morrison; and three sisters, Wilma, Mildred and Patricia.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. May 24, 2008, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care Unit or to the Alzheimer's Association.
