Condolences to Dr. Musser's family. In 1962, when I was just a small child, Dr. Musser did a valve repair on my mother's heart which was damaged by rheumatic fever when she was a child...he saved her life and she was always grateful (as I still am) for that. She often talked fondly about him through the years. In 1988, she again needed surgery for esophageal cancer and by that time I believe he was retired, but his associate, Dr. Russell did her surgery and gave her another 16 years. ...

I will always be grateful to Dr. Musser and his skills for giving my mother more years. She was only 45 years old when she had an aortic graft at Polyclinic. Many other health issues followed over the years, but his skills gave her some more time. He made it possible for many others to go on to happy healthy lives. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
