Judy, I always loved it when you and Benny helped out with events at the MACC, or just came and attended. He was such a sweet and gentle man. I have fond memories of you both (you were ALWAYS together!) serving graciously at the Tree Lighting. I pray for strength and understanding for you. You had many precious years together!

RIP Cousin Benny, prayers and thoughts go to your family. Even though I didn't know you, as our family is so big and I lived out of state for many years prayers go to your wife and family. My grandmother Bertha Nowlin Mathely and your Father were sister and brother.

Benny was my friend and golf buddy. I had the honor of sharing in what would unfortunately be his last round of golf on a beautiful morning last Sunday. I will always remember his smile and fist bump on the 16th hole after I rolled in a rare birdie putt. And how proud he was of his son-in-law David and I after we won the Signal Mountain Mountaineer golf tournament a few years ago. He was happier for us than he would have been for himself had he won. That's just the kind of nice, sweet man that he was. I will miss him terribly.

I attended High school with Benny he always had a smile and a good word every time I saw him we reconnected at TVA's Sequoyah Nuclear plant as Nuclear Plant Inspectors and continued through our careers with TVA in our different roles. I last saw him at our good friend Rodney Wyatt's funeral, he still had that Benny Nowlin smile, up beat and positive attitude.

Benny and Judy have been our neighbors for over 20 years. We raised our kids together. Benny was the sweetest man. He always had a smile. When he retired, he would stand at the side of the driveway and tell us cute stories of the grandchildren, tales from his TVA days, and share thoughts about daily occurrences. We will miss him. He was a special part of our lives.

Benny was one of the most memorable of the TVA hands that I had the pleasure of working with. He was always quick with a smile, quick with the right quip and a solid technician. My condolences to his family on their loss.

I will miss Benny, he was a great friend and great to be around, we played golf together, worked together and he always found humor in everything and everyone he encounter. I had to smile while thinking of Benny and writing this of the enjoyment he gave. May God Bless his family and go with them on their journey.
