Dear Skip, I'm so very sorry for your loss. A child should not die before their parents. I have good memories of our wine tastings when I had the chance to meet and enjoy your family. Ben was a wonderful person. I know he will be missed!

I'm so sad to hear of Ben's (A.K.A. Mad dog!) passing. Its still quite a shock to me. We shared some crazy but fun times together 20 years ago at OSU. Last time I saw him was 10 years ago and didn't even feel like time had passed. My thoughts, prayers and condolences to his friends and family through this difficult time... May he rest in peace now and be an angel over all of you♥♥♥

To Skip and the family, I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all and praying for you during this difficult time. Ben was such an awesome person. Always making people laugh, always making sure everyone was ok and having fun, always the life of the party. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. He will be missed so much!! I will always remember him as being happy, and a good friend to everyone. He truly was one of a kind. Rest In Peace, Mad Dog.

The world will be a little more boring without Ben in it. I am thinking of you Skip and the Martin family as you lay him to rest today. I have been doing a lot of reminiscing about my time with Ben and you all since learning of his passing. I feel so lucky to have so many fun memories and adventures to treasure. My love to you all.

I always felt like you knew more than you were letting on...whenever I saw you! :) Now we know ..You know things...none of us know! We are all missing you.. the boat rides, times at the lake and the great dinners at the Martins out on the patio! That last dinner party you shared plans for watching Michigan Football this season, by viewing all the best games past! You were happy... You, Mac, and Skip, together again after a long absence. We all were enjoying your presence then. Just as we know...

Dear Skip, Bob and I were stunned to hear of Ben's passing and your family's unbelievable loss. We remember him as the cutest little boy, always looking for the next adventure. It was obvious that you and Suzy were so proud of him. I have no doubt that he is at his next destination, looking for a lake or his snow skis. Our thoughts are with you and your family....

"Once upon a time"...., but in reality my special friendship with the Sherriff family extents over 45 years, with Ben's Dad Skip and his Granddad Fred whom I first met in Germany. Fred loved the litle town of Kiedrich, or his favorite wine, the Erbacher Marcobrunn Riesling, and Skip and Ben have both visited the Rheingau area in Germany with me, also a special visit to the wonderful old St. Valentin's church in Kiedrich which Fred liked so much. We did not meet often enough, the big pond...
