Not sure what to say?

Ben was honored by his uncle at the 8th Jewish War Veterans Post 692 Memorial event on Sunday with a beautiful eulogy. At this event we read the list of Jewish American fallen in Afghanistan and Iraq and hearing so movingly about Ben from his family reinforced how much he sacrificed and how great the loss.

It's almost 10 years later, my dear friend. Your legacy lives on in so many ways. I deeply wish you were still with us, that you had come back home with us, that life for you would have carried on the way you planned. I will never forget your last words to me, and I will always regret not being there when you needed me the most.

Hello- this morning I ran in the "I Did the Grid" in East Northport, NY

I ran in the name of CPT Benjamin Sklaver so that we will never forget his ultimate sacrifice, please know he is remembered and honored this and everyday.

RIP Benjamin

Thank-you again for Benjamin's service to our country and for your sacrifice.

May the Lord continue to comfort you.

October 2, 2012

On the third anniversary of Capt. Benjamin Sklaver's death, please be aware that he has not been forgotten. Our family offers eternal gratitude for his service and sacrifice.

To the family of Captain Slaver,
I hope I have a copy of the 2012 calendar from the Jewish War Veterans at my desk. Your son's photo appears a few names down from my brother, Captain Robert M. Secher. I noticed that your son's death ocurred during October, as did Robert's. I miss my brother every day as I know you do your son. I am in awe of the bravery displayed by all men and women who fight for our country. I hope your family is doing well.

To the family and friends of Capt. Benjamin Sklaver:
Please accept my remembrance of Benjamin on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

You have not been forgotten Benjamin
