Not sure what to say?

Ben certainly was a doer and sometimes really a talker. For over 20 years we had the pleasure of working with Ben helping him control his housing costs. Ben only wanted to pay his fair share of property taxes. But we enjoyed talking about politics and taxes. He will be greatly missed by our staff he left a legacy of great housing at reasonable prices. Our deepest sympathies to his loving wife Maureen and his children Lisa, Ellyn, Victori, and Eric. I met Ben in 1975 at the Lincoln Park Builders Club and we have been friends ever since. He was much fun and one who everyone liked. Ben will be very much missed. My sympathy to the Weiss Family.

Maureen--I just talked to Joanne Carney and she told me about your Ben. I have known you two since the late 1970's when I bought the third floor/south side unit at 2248 N. Fremont. My maiden name is Beshoar and we used to have chats back and forth since we were neighbors. Joanne has spoken so highly of the quality of your friendship when she lived in The Fremont building and she was devastated by the news. You have so much to grieve over and no one can make you feel any better as you go...

Maureen you and family are in my thoughts and prayers. I was lucky to have you and Ben as my friends and neighbors for over 25 years...

A giant of a person has left us. My heartfelt condolences.

I would have loved your Dad. He certainly lived a long wonderful life. I hope you can heal from the loss and celebrate many fond memories.

Dear Ellyn, Leo and family, You are in our thoughts and prayers always.

So sorry for your loss.

Ben was my friend, mentor and a good neighbor. He always had time for a chat over coffee or lunch when I needed his advice. He never was too busy. I will miss his strong & very honest thoughts and opinions. Mark Weiss
