On Thursday, September 17, 2020, Benjamin Charles Williams, beloved husband to Jill and devoted father to Ashley and Joel, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46. Ben was born on April 14, 1974 in Houston, Texas to Chuck and Debbie (Matteson) Williams. He attended Cypress Creek High School,...

Not sure what to say?

Ben and I were best friends from 2nd-8th grade. Just went through my scrap book and found his picture he sent me and some funny letters, he had a great sarcastic wit! I have many fond memories of having sleep overs at his house, eating dinner with his family at the big long table, Mr. Williams at one end and Mrs. Williams at the other. Always staying up late to watch "1941", raunchy Eddie Murphy stand up etc. We met through a mutual love of WW2 history and spent hours playing with his...

May God rest his soul and console his loved ones. I knew Ben through his dad, Chuck, and had the chance to work with him in the 90's. He was highly intelligent and, at the same time, a humble and honorable young man. I'm not surprised that he decided on law enforcement as a profession as he seemed to possess an instinct to serve and protect. My thoughts and prayers are with Jill and the kids, Chuck and Debbie, his sisters and the rest of the family. Semper Aequus.

Ben was like a brother to me. I was in the band and played trumpet as well which gave me a lot of great memories with Ben. It was really something special to see Ben and Jill grow up together through the years. I was lucky enough to have been invited to play basketball with the guys a couple of times even though I was terrible. I think have him to thank for getting me on the loading crew with the upperclassmen during our band years. It was great spending most every holiday with him...

Sergeant Williams you were a great man and you will definitely be missed. Sarge, thank you for the opportunities you provided me. I am a better person because of you. I still remember the time you conducted my first interview for the Command Center. You believed in me and took me under your wing. You wore your uniform and badge with the greatest pride. You volunteered and helped out around the office to make sure we were okay. You made coming to work enjoyable and I know your absence will...

So many of my memories from high school include Ben. We played trumpet together, we were always playing basketball in his driveway or mine, we were on loading crew together. As I reflect it seems that many of the times I can remember include me and him together, laughing hysterically over some comment or joke he made. So sad he is gone and praying for strength for Jill and his family.

Ben, you will be missed by many my friend. I have some great memories of working together, hanging out at get-togethers, and working out after our shift. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I worked with Ben and there was not a movie question he could not answer. He was very cool and extremely fun to be around. He assisted with my training at the command center and always went above and beyond to make training fun and relatable. Praying God comforts the family during this difficult time.

Benjamin sounds like a wonderful young man, well loved by many. My heart goes out to the family and his friends. May they be comforted by memories of their best times times together.

My deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. God Bless Everyone. Eileen Wilson
