BENJAMINE "BEN" SIMMERS

Ben's parents had a small grocery store in Collamer, IN in the 1940s & 1950s. He helped bale hay for local farmers, ride bikes together, watch black & white movies (while we sat on the hillside) for the local grocery families, enjoyed the next door motorcycle shop, fished & swimmed in Eel River, and always enjoyed a cold water drink from the "Flowing Well". To the Simmers family. You have our sympathy. Memories of growing up in Collamer, IN are cherished forever. Riding motorbikes, making hay, eating Pioneer ice cream at your store, movies on the hillside behind your new house, buying cigars, drinking from the fountain down by the dam were things city slickers never got to appreciate.
