Bennie H. Shanks

Bennie H. Shanks, Jr. was born on December 13, 1946 in Houston, Texas and passed away on July 2, 2016. Bennie retired from the Army where he was a Broadcast Journalist for 20 years. He also retired from Tice Elementary School on May 30, 2016 as Paraprofessional. He is survived by his loving wife Sherri Buchanan Shanks, brother Henry Shanks, children Tammy Shanks and Scottie Shanks, granddaughter Charleen Uban, and 3 grandchildren, 6 great- grandchildren, and host of loving relatives and friends.
A Memorial Military Service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Houston National Cemetery Chapel, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
