I'm sorry that my work will keep me from attending the memorial service. I was so fond of Mr. Liebermann. He was an amazing man--always with a twinkle in his eye and a magnetism that seemed to draw everyone in the room to him. I was so impressed to learn that he had fought for Israel, something that I had not known, though it doesn't surprise me, as he brought such passion and determination to everything he did.
