Berl L. Thaine

Mr. Thaine was my neighbor when I grew up. He was always so nice to all the neighbor kids, and there were quite a few of us. No wonder he fit right in with scouting! Surely he will be missed by the young, and the young at heart alike!!

To the wonderful Thaine family,
I am so saddened to hear of Berl's passing. He was such a sweet, lovable, kind, and funny man...always smiling with his sparkly blue eyes and that naughty grin. He loved a good joke and, even in his dementia haze, he maintained his sense of humor and boyish charm. I did love him so! I did not have the opportunity to see him as of late, but he remained in my thoughts regularly. I am so glad that he is now back in the arms of his beloved Marion, and that...

Berl,
Was an TRUE scouter. Love to share all he knew and taught our boys the true meaning of honor. He was alway there when you needed an hand to teach the boys a few tricks of the scouting world! A great person and will be missed by many who knew him. I know it was my HONOR to have known a great person like him!
