Not sure what to say?

Dr. Berlene Newhouse was a very studious person who took her academic studies at The American University very seriously. I attended three classes with her and found her to be a very joyful person. May she continue to rest in peace.

Dr. Newhouse and I attended three classes together at The American University. I did not know that she had passed until I tried to locate her on the internet on November 10, 2022. In addition, I would like to offer her family members my sincere sympathy for the passing of your loved one. May she rest in peace.

I was sadden to hear of your mothers passing. I met Mrs Newhouse the first year I was a member of Shiloh Baptist. I worked with her on a Women's Day Planning Committee, we were hooked to each other until she left the area. I worked on the Debutante Fashion Show in some capacities until today. She became more to me than the leader of the Shiloh Debutantes. She became a mother, sister, and friend. I will never forget what she did for me in my developement as a leader in the church. She...

My advocacy for youth for the past twenty years have mirrored her committed work with children and youth. I will miss her love, her smile and her spirited conversations. Most importantly, I will miss her stories about her personal relationship with...

May the peace of Christ be with you and your family in the coming days.

Amanda, We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. Love, Donna, Jim and Family

To the Family,
As I sat and listen on Saturday to the wonderful tributes about Mrs. Newhouse, I thought about how she impacted my life. When I was in the Sunshine Circle, she made me take on the job of secretary. I did not want the job and I made it very clear. When it was time to announce the officers I was the"SECRETARY", no questions asked. I have been working in Shiloh every since because Mrs. Newhouse saw something in "ME" and I am glad she did. Like Rev. Smith said she was and...
