Bernadette Marie Ramirez

1949 - 2022

Bernadette Marie Ramirez was born November 11, 1949 at St. Bernadine's hospital in San Bernardino to John Duarte Mejia and Priscilla Elizabeth Velasquez and entered into rest on February 13, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Paul A. Ramirez, and four children Lorraine Ramirez, Paul O. Ramirez (Lena), Brian Ramirez and Therese Witrago (Robert). She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Helena, Valentina, Paul, Isabella and Marcelino (joined in heaven). She is survived by six siblings, Drucilla Squires, Loretta Oquendo, John and Timothy Mejia, Geraldine Gutierrez and Valerie De La Rosa. She attended grade school at St. Catherine's of Sienna in Rialto and attended the Villa Cabrini Academy in Burbank. She was a proud graduate of Eisenhower High School class of 1967. She held a promising position as the Secretary to the Administrator for the San Bernardino County Department of Mental Health, however chose to raise her young family. She volunteered her time and talents with her church and her Rialto community. She was member of the P.T.A, Girl Scouts, Rialto Eastern Little League (Director of snack bar and score keeping), District 21 Treasurer, and team mother for numerous Little League and Soccer teams. She was the lead vocalist for the Blue Army- World Apostolate of Fatima. She was a Religious Instructor for First Communion, Confirmation I, II, and Life Teen at St. Catherine's and St. John 23rd Catholic Churches and loyal member of the St. Catherine's Maria De Jude Rosary Makers group. She was involved with the San Bernardino City Firefighters Woman's Auxiliary. She was Godmother to over 20 children. She used her God given talents to teach, influence and motivate the youth in the Catholic faith. Services: Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Wake 5:30 p.m., Rosary 6pm-8pm- Mt. View Mortuary, San Bernardino. Wednesday March 23, 2022, Funeral Mass 11:00am- St. John 23rd Catholic Church, 222 E. Easton, Rialto, burial to follow at Mt. View Mortuary.
