Bernie sounds like a loving and hard working servant of the community. We could all benefit from examples like this. It reminds me of 1 Tim. 6:18, as we are encouraged " be liberal and ready to share". In our communities, if we could all be as be as willing to share our time and resources to help someone else when possible, perhaps we could leave a lasting example/legacy behind as well.

Bernie was a good friend and neighbor, I first met bernie on a ride with the high desert trail riders BCH. And liked him right off, then several years later became neighbors with him, and had several visits with him as he would walk up to his mailbox and his two dogs right along with him. we give our condolences to the family.and will miss him.
