Not sure what to say?

BJ was actively supportive of student journalism during my time at UofM, and I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely family on a few occasions. Such a sad surprise to learn of his early passing. I wanted to extend my condolences, late and distant as they are (I came across this news only today, but I remember him and his positive energy like it was yesterday). I can't imagine your family's loss and I am so sorry that he had to leave so soon.

I met Bernard in 3rd grade at Pepper Elementary School. I remember he had a keen sense of humor and was very intelligent and kind. I was so sorry when he moved away during the school year 1973.

Bernard, I just found out about your passing. I am saddened. You were a good man and father. You will be missed by many. Rest In Peace, ole friend. Loved all the conversations we had thru out the years.

Pyper, so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember BJ from MPC.
