Bernard Arrington, 76, of Stephens, died Saturday, May 11, 2002. Born February 21, 1926, he was the son of Albert and Vida Arrington. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Grady Arrington and a sister, Louise Booker. He was a member of the Stephens Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the Korean War and owner of Bernard’s Auto Supply in Stephens.

Survivors include his wife, Melba Arrington; three daughters, Linda (Duncan) Grayson of Stephens, Diane (Phil) Keith of Magnolia and Kellie (Jim) Young of Salem; five grandsons; two granddaughters; one niece; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Stephens Church of Christ with Jerry Arrington officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, Duncan Grayson, Phil Keith, and Jim Young and three of his grandsons, Shane Grayson, Ty Keith, and Troy Keith. I'm so terribly sorry to hear of your father's passing. My heart goes out to you and your family. Losing my dad last year was the most heart-wrenching event of my life. There are a lot of things I'd like to say, but this isn't the place. Call me anytime, if you'd like to talk.
