Not sure what to say?

Dear Diane,

I am so deeply saddened to learn of Bernie's passing from this unforgiving illness. It's very possible that the last time I saw him (and you) was at Joe's 1979 wedding. These 40 years haven't diminished in the least the clarity of my memory of Bernie and his vivacious embrace of life, his energy and laughter, and his way of always making me feel welcomed at your home, almost as if I were a member of the family. Will never forget his zest for life and that wonderful smile.

Keep on running my dearest friend...you will forever be in my thoughts as I do an 8 miler down Western Ave!

You were the only runner I knew that had to gel his hair and look handsome for RACE day!!!

I am so glad I had the opportunity to get my BIG hug from you, last week at the Y, and chit chat about old times! I will forever cherish all the great long runs we all had together, especially the day we decided to run 2 races back to back...you remember,we ran the Stanley Park 5K then ran the Sarah Beth 10k!!!! We were crazy...lol

Rest in peace my dear friend and I hope you're doing a lot of long runs for us!!
