Not sure what to say?

My thoughts are with you, the Callahan family, wishing you all comfort in your time of loss.

I have wonderful memories of Prairie Avenue, South Street, and the old neighborhood. Sure would love to know how all of you are doing.

Dear Suzy, Jim, Barb and Myrna,

Our deepest sympathies at your loss of Bernie...what a wonderful man! I will always remember his great sense of humor, his love of life and his kind heart. I am so glad I had the honor of knowing him. Bob and I send our love and healing thoughts to you all.

Love,
Trish Scott and
Bob McFerran

To Myrna and Bernie's family -- you are in our thoughts! Barb and I feel fortunate to have met Bernie . . . and are delighted you had such a great man as a part of your life, Aunt Myrna! Love, Ann and Barb

So sorry to hear about the loss of Bernie. He was a good friend and neighbor of my family for many years in Elmhurst. My sympathies to Barb, Sue, and Jim.

Our condolences to your family!

Aryeh and I want to express our sympathy to all the family in your loss. Bernie was a treasure. He put everyone at ease with his kindness and humor. I recall his willingness to help whenever there was a problem.

We loved hearing about the WW II stories and listening to stories about the family. Our love to Susan, Barbara and Jim, Dick and Barbara Miller

Uncle Bernie was my Godfather and I couldn't have asked for a better or more kinder one. I last spoke to him at my dad's funeral,(his brother, Bill), last year. Now all the Callahan boys of that generation are gone...but NOT forgotten. I already miss Uncle Bernie and all my uncles. I pray that God will rest his soul now.
