Not sure what to say?

Bernie Caplan, a man full of humor and kindness oh, a man who opened his doors to us in 1979, a brother-in-law and new sister-in-law. An uncle who was present the first fourteen years of our children's lives. A man who was present at every event. Bernie prepared Gloria and the whole family for this new chapter in their lives. We pray that he is peaceful in this new spirit and we are confident that he has left a part of his spirit with us all. We know that this new chapter of Our Lives will...

Bernie was a true hero. He faced adversity with strength and humor. He was long time friends with my husband Carl, and Gloria and Bernie and Carl and I and and often other couples were together socially. I have so many wonderful memories with them. He (and Gloria) had and have so much love in their hearts for everyone! This last illness was so difficult and yet he did maintain that humor almost to the end. I will miss him so much and I send my love to Gloria who was so wonderful throughout...

I met Bernie at Walton Elementary School. I was about 8, he was 10 and our third partner Alan Gottesman was about 12. For most of the following years the three of us were pretty inseparable. We took rowboats on the Schuylkill, climbed slate rock on East River Drive (a crazy thing to do) and did things kids our age could not do today. We went to the Synagogue dances together and then met the girls who would be our wives. My life became centered around New York and unfortunately we only...

I always looked forward to wonderful chats when Bernard and Gloria would come to drop little Corey off for his summer vacation or visit us for an event. A warm, delightful treasure of a gentleman that I so looked forward to seeing each of these past 10 years. Rest in peace Bernie, and love to your beautiful family - Karyn

Our friendship goes back more than 50 years with so many wonderful memories of holidays, parties, dinners, movies and phone calls! We love all of you and you are in our hearts forever! Rest in peace Bernie!

The first time I met Bernie was when I had him, Gloria and Brittany over for dinner as a thank you for hosting my daughter Meggie at their house a number of times. It was near the holidays and I made all the traditional Hankukkah foods and Bernie enjoyed that meal so much. That day started a wonderful friendship and the opportunity to share many more meals with him and Gloria. I know he put up a tremendous fight and now he can rest in peace. Our deepest condolences Gloria, Britt,...
