Im so sorry to near about your Dad passing away, It's really hard losing are parents. My thoughts are with you all!

Our deepest condolences on the loss of this amazing man. He made a difference for our country. May God be with your family.

Bernie was a friend and mentor. Chief Carbon had a tremendous positive impact on everyone he encountered. For me personally, the Chief was a mentor and example of what a true leader is. Bernie and his entire family are in my prayers.

Rest Bernard, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. Career U.S. Air Force.

Bernie was a friend and mentor. Along with his beloved Southern belle, Barbara he made such an impact on his unit, his state, and mentor. Juanita and I won´t be able to make down there Sun or Mon but plan to be down Wed to pay our respects. We will be with you all in spirit. God bless all.

Chief Bernie Carbon was an extraordinary Chief Master Sergeant, meaning he was an outstanding leader and motivator. He and I were interviewed for the 3rd Air National Guard Senior Enlisted Advisor and thank goodness for the good of the ANG, General Conaway selected Bernie. He was ready, I was not. However, for the next few years Bernie included me in all activities and decisions. Preparing me for my turn in the position which I held as the 4th Senor Enlisted Advisor. Bernie was a great guy. We enjoyed very much working together in the early 2000's at the Emergency Management Dept. We traveled all over Kansas helping disaster victims. Miss him very much
